These types of sessions are only held when tame farm animals are available.
Sessions are highly organized and scheduled according to time slots for every client. Every client must preferably be early for their session by about 10 minutes. This gives children time to get used to the surroundings and also so parents can explain that they are going to be taking photos with the animals.
Scheduled times can’t be moved as they are pre-arranged with all clients. If anybody is late, it will cause all sessions to be late and the last client’s session might be in jeopardy as we are dependent on the available light. For this reason if you are late, the time will be deducted from your session time, no guarantees will be given that the required amount of images will be achieved. No refunds will be given.
In the case where a child/children refuses to interact with the animals or cooperate, we request the parent/parents step in and act as a “security blanket” to show children that it is safe and try to get the child to sit with the animal. If the attempt is unsuccessful the parent/parents might have to sit with child/children and we’ll treat the session as a family session from there on to avoid children melting down.
Clothing choices: Try to avoid picture/text print on shirts [see bottom of page for some suggestions] – Please remember to also dress accordingly in case you need to be in the photos with your child.
Current sessions: June 2021 | Farm venue approximately 10km outside Middelburg on Loskop Dam road | Animals, tame free range hens | Suggested age: 3yrs and up [for small children I would not suggest handling the hens, just posing next to and stroking the hen]
